A 70s Arcade Lunar Lander game with a twist... players activate the thrusters of their Mango Lander using their voice! (Done for CS107E w/ Liam Wilbur)
I wrote all libraries (graphics pipeline, GPIO, lightweight printf, heap allocator, physics engine) in C and RISC-V ASM to run bare-metal on the Mango Pi SBC.

Used logistic regression on thousands of violin sound samples and Exponential RV modeling to create a naturalistic FM violin tone synthesizer.
Won the Grand Prize for my CS109 class' Probability Challenge, which I created the project for. As the prize, my midterm and final exam grades were replaced with 100%

After being impressed by a demo of Apple's new AirPods 4 with ANS (and no physical seal), I became curious about the history of Active Noise Cancellation.
I built this little demo to let people explore how the parameters of the NLMS algorithm, the setup of a physical microphone array, and a listener's ear proximity affect noise cancellation.

Implemented Azo and Norbornene compounds in cellulose nanocrystal side-chain copolymers to induce temperature and UV-light-induced isomer shifts to be applied in renewable soft robotic materials and MEMS.

Tone Death - Sound Stem Separation and Auditory Neuroplasticity in VR.
Worked with Brian Pham under Dr. Poppy Crum's and Eito Murakami's mentorship in MUSIC 257. Designed a VR environment to train source separation skills in the auditory cortex via sound spatialization tasks.
Motivated by Colin Cherry's Cocktail Party Problem and real-world issues of selective attentional gain and prior research in sonic object classification in the auditory cortex.

Lead Developer in a team of three. Devised and implemented C# solutions in MRTK-Unity virtual augmented reality space. Proof-of-concept included contextually-relevant atmospheric adjustments, FOV/DOF alterations, and illusory architectural changes to make a static physical environment feel novel and induce user surprisal.
Conducted user study in which 2/3 of users felt a given combination of adjustments were effective in rendering a physical space unrecognizable, whilst retaining immersion and playability. Research property of the University of California, Santa Barbara.
